VINEFORD released a comprehensive research report documenting the prevalence and impact of non-consensual intimate image abuse across the United States. The study surveyed over 5,000 adults and found that 1 in 8 have been targeted by NDII, with significant psychological and social consequences.

Key findings from the research:

• 1 in 8 adults have been targeted by non-consensual intimate image abuse
• 1 in 12 have perpetrated such abuse
• 73% of victims experience significant psychological distress
• Average recovery time: 18-24 months
• Only 12% of victims report the abuse to authorities

The report also identified critical gaps in support services and legal protections across different states. VINEFORD is using these findings to inform policy recommendations and advocacy priorities.

The full research report is available on our website, along with an executive summary and policy brief. We encourage policymakers, advocates, and survivors to review the findings and use them to inform their work.

"This research provides concrete evidence of the scope and impact of this abuse," said VINEFORD's Research Director. "We hope it will drive meaningful action at all levels of government."
